One freelancer quotes you $400. Another wants $900 just to show up. If you’re trying to book video for your business right now, you’ve probably already hit this wall: nobody’s numbers seem to mean the same thing.

What that means for you
Audio processing is usually included. Captions, colour grading and motion graphics usually aren’t, so check before you sign anything.
A quote well under $1,200 is often missing something: no captions, no revisions, no clear usage rights. A quote well over $1,800 is usually agency overhead, not better footage.
Most freelancers also charge full-day rates for short shoots. A 2.5 hour job shouldn’t cost the same as an 8 hour one, so it’s worth asking about pro-rating.

My standard package is $1,300: a 2.5 hour shoot, three finished videos, captions included, one revision round, delivered in 3–5 business days. Rush delivery adds a flat 25%, no surprises.
